Welcome to Belchford & Fulletby Parish Council
Belchford & Fulletby Neigbourhood Plan
As many of you are aware Belchford & Fulletby Parish Council have prepared a Neighbourhood Development Plan to protect our villages from excessive and inappropriate development up to 2041. This plan has been approved by the East Lindsey District Council Executive Board to go to referendum, having first been consulted upon numerous times by you, the residents, then scrutinised by an independent professional examiner based in southern England.
The referendum will be held on Friday 28 November. Polling will be in Belchford Village Hall between 7am and 10pm. All registered voters in both villages are eligible to vote. You will receive poll cards in the coming days. If the plan is approved by you it will be integrated into the East Lindsey Local Plan, making it part of local planning law. A Neighbourhood Plan does not prevent development in our villages but does ensure that new buildings are sited appropriately (for example by not blocking cherished views) are in keeping with existing buildings and the overall street scene, and are sized to serve the needs of the community and not just those of the developer. Appropriate extensions to existing buildings are not effected.
The Neighbourhood Plan is available online at

A paper copy is also available to view (please do not remove) in Fulletby Church.
Belchford & Fulletby Parish Council wishes to thank all of you who contributed to our Neighbourhood Plan by attending our consultation mornings, participating in surveys and through the numerous discussions we held with you. This plan would not have been possible without your participation, cooperation and enthusiasm. It is your plan for the villages in the years to come. Please vote.
Mrs Karen Elliott, Clerk
Belchford and Fulletby Parish Council
